Karen Elson Has No Plans to Give Up Modeling

Supermodel Karen Elson is finding critical acclaim for her just-released debut album, The Ghost Who Walks, but the flame-haired Brit has no plans to give up the lucrative modeling career that brought her fame.
In an interview with The Scotsman, Elson said, “Would I stop modeling? I think that would be really pretentious – ‘I’m sorry, I’m now a musician. Other than viewing them as the golden handcuffs, I might as well just appreciate it. I only hope I can improve the idea of model-slash-anything. I only hope I can do it justice.”
Elson, who has been married to musician Jack White for several years, admits she had reservations about launching a music career. “I was cautious, because if there’s something bad out there, it’s doubly as bad because you’re a model. It’s like, ‘Oh, stick to the day job.’
