Daisy Lowe Is Gavin Rossdale’s Daughter
Gavin Rossdale’s daughter Daisy Lowe has a jewelry line out. In addition to being an English fashion model she can now add jewelry designer to her resume.
Daisy, 20, first crossed our radar in a stream of scandal. It seems that her father Gavin Rossdale had a torrid affair with her mother Pearl Lowe. Until 2004 the model believed her mother’s ex-husband Bronner Lowe, was her father until a paternity test revealed the Bush front man to be her biological father. Scandalous!
At the time of her birth, Daisy’s paternity was not questioned and Pearl listed “Bronner Lowe” on Daisy’s birth certificate. Rossdale had initially offered to take a paternity test, but backed away. It wasn’t until Daisy found out that neither Lowe nor her mother had the O-type blood that she had, that Lowe sought a paternity test through her lawyers.
Reportedly Rossdale’s wife Gwen Stefani was furious at the revelation and it caused some serious marital problems, which they have since seemed to work out. Imagine finding out that your husband suddenly has a teenage kid? Awkward.
Lowe began modeling at the age of 2, and did some photoshoots when she was 12 and 14 years old. At 15 she was approached by a talent scout in Camden Town and, as a result, she signed with Select, a London modeling agency.
She is quite popular in England and has graced many magazine covers and walked the runway in tons of fashion shows. She has also been a DJ and appeared in a couple of music videos.
For a while the model dated music producer Mark Ronson, despite a 13 year age gap they had her mother’s blessing, Pearl said: “I’ve got no problem with the age gap… he’s a gentleman and he’s really looking after her. I could imagine them being together in the long term.” Unfortunately they only dated briefly.
These days the young supermodel is still walking the runway, now adorned in beautiful Swarovski crystal jewelry. Daisy said of her inspirations for the jewelry, “They’re kind of magical in a dark romantic way. I wanted it to be about the earth, moon and planetary movements, all that kind of weird stuff.”
Sounds interesting. The new line will be released this month.
