Daisy Lowe suffers unfortunate outbreak of spots as she launches jewellery range
Daisy Lowe was certainly not ready for her close-up last night as she turned out to the launch of her new Swarovski jewellery range.
The timing couldn’t have been worse for the model, 20, who suffered an outbreak of spots across her chin just as she needed to be on top form for the cameras.
She attempted to hide the rash of pimples under a patterned scarf as she left Swarovski central London store, keeping her head pointed firmly to the ground.
But at one point it slipped down to reveal her bumpy complexion which not even her foundation could disguise.
Inside the venue, Daisy was happier to be pictured from further away and also managed to detract attention from her face by putting her never-ending legs on show
Her stand-out look comprised a pair of red stilettos, black tights complete with an embroidered thigh chain design, a check skirt with two vertical splits to the waist and a leather jacket.
She pulled a series of raunchy poses for photographers while modelling one of the bracelets she designed.
Swarovski’s new Crystallized jewels have been designed in-part by Daisy, seeing her follow in the fashion footsteps of her mother, designer Pearl Lowe.
The collection will be available later in the month, with a preview video featuring Lowe, that can be seen at Crystallized’s London store.
Speaking about her designs, Daisy said: ‘I’ve incorporated black and white, star and moon crystals and multiple strands of chains.
‘I wanted it to be about the earth, moon and planetary movements, all that kind of weird stuff.’
Other guests at the event, held at the Swarovski store in central London, included two of Paul Weller’s children, Leah and Natt.
Make-up-loving singer-guitarist Natt, 21, was sporting his usual androgynous look, dressed in skinny black trousers and a leather coat with faux fur-lined cuffs and collar.
Models Tolula Adeyemi and Ben Grimes also turned out to lend their support.
Daisy’s mother Pearl is a designer for budget fashion chain Peacocks, which has recently announced it planned more ranges from the former singer-songwriter.
It follows the group, which has 546 stores across the UK, reporting like-for-like sales growth of 17 per cent for December and early January.
In November, Peacocks announced a collaboration with the Somerset-based designer, leading to a number of dresses being available in selected stores over the party season.
Their success means further ranges are planned for the spring and summer season, with Pearl’s daughter Daisy acting as model for her mother’s collections.
