Karolina Kurkova’s ‘fun’ diet
Czech model Karolina Kurkova doesn’t think mothers should be a size zero and takes a healthy approach to dieting herself to set a good example.
Karolina Kurkova doesn’t think mothers should be a size zero. The former Victoria’s Secret Angel – who gave birth to her first child, son Tobin Jack Drury in July – dislikes ultra-skinny mums and believes women need to take a ‘fun and healthy’ approach to dieting. She said: ‘You have to look good. But I will take as much time as I need and see how I feel. If you are a mum, you shouldn’t be a size zero. You have to go with the body you have. I want to set a good example to women that it’s important to look good and look after yourself but in a fun and healthy way.’ The Czech beauty hasn’t retired from modelling for good, but is in no rush to shift her baby weight and return to the catwalk. She told Britain’s Hello! magazine: ‘The most important thing is I am healthy. I’d like to get into the best shape I can, but I’m going to do it without a huge black cloud over me. ‘I don’t want to rush back to work. There’s always time for that. I’m enjoying being a mum and my priority right now is Tobin. It’s a very special bonding time, and I’m lucky I have the chance to do that. Then, for sure, I’ll go back to work – I’m looking forward to bringing him on the set and travelling with him. He already loves the camera and having his picture taken – he knows what mummy does.’
