American fashion house Donna Karan New York has unveiled a new addition to its luxurious Cashmere fragrance collection: Cashmere & Vanilla Essence set to debut this Spring.
Concept & Background
The Cashmere Fragrance Collection was launched in February 2024 and comprises of four Eau de Parfums: Cashmere & Palo Santo (Amber Woody), Cashmere & Tiare Flower (Solar Floral), Cashmere & Wild Fig (Floral Woody), and Cashmere & Tunisian Neroli (Citrus Floral). Each fragrance is meticulously designed to be unique while complementing the others.
Inspired by the layers of a woman, the new Eau de Parfum Cashmere & Vanilla Essence captures the essence of sophistication, modern ease, and innate style that the brand is celebrated for nearly 40 years. Designed for everyday indulgence, it embodies the brand’s commitment to elegance in its purest form while reflecting the multifaceted nature of a woman.
The Scent
Cashmere & Vanilla Essence is an alluring gourmand musk fragrance that reimagines the irresistible allure of vanilla with elevated sophistication. The scent offers a captivating olfactive journey that opens with an effervescent burst of Pink Pepper and Ambrette, enhanced by a blend of apple. At its heart, the fragrance evokes a sense of femininity with Jasmine and Muguet. The scent finishes with a warm embrace of Vanilla Beans, Sandalwood, Amber, and Musk.
The Design
The bottle invites the wearer into a world of refined luxury and individuality. Its sculpted silhouette conveys the idea of fabric in flowing movement while the weighted, magnetic gold cap reflects a connection to nature. It has a label on the front and Donna Karan New York logo debossed on the neck. The bottle is contained within a dark gold reusable canister with a top-open lid inspired by the drape of a timeless Donna Karan New York.
‘I created this fragrance to take vanilla, which can sometimes be seen as a simple note, to a more elevated and complex place. Without losing vanilla’s natural raw beauty, I wanted to enhance its facets. Opening with sparkling pink pepper and apple, playing off vanilla’s fruity nuances, then moving into a beautiful, delicate floral heart of violet and jasmine. The scent is then grounded in rich vanilla absolute, warm sandalwood, and amber. All wrapped in my favorite musk- sensual, skin like, and comforting,’ Arielle Le Beau, Perfumer said in a press release.
Priced at 195 Euro, the Donna Karan Cashmere & Vanilla Essence will be available from 21 February 2025.
