Dries Van Noten appoints Julian Klausner as creative director
Belgian maison Dries Van Noten has announced the appointment of Julian Klausner as its new creative director.
In his new role he will oversee both womenswear and menswear lines, ensuring that the brand’s distinctive and strong identity remains at the forefront of his vision.
‘I am beyond thrilled to oversee the upcoming seasons as we begin the next chapter for this house. The incomparable legacy that Dries is leaving behind is monumental, serving as an endless source of precious inspiration. I look forward to embarking on new ambitious challenges while honoring the heritage we all cherish,’ Klausner said in a press release.
‘I have complete confidence in Julian’s creativity and vision. He is not only a talented designer, but also a clear choice to take over after my departure. His deep understanding of the brand and its values will ensure a seamless transition and a bright future,’ Dries Van Noten added.
Klausner has been part of the Dries Van Noten team since 2018, and has worked alongside Dries as Head of Womenswear Design. Before joining the brand, he spent two years as a junior designer at Maison Margiela. A student of La Cambre / Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Visuels in Brussels, he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor and Masters in Fashion Design.
Klausner’s first Menswear Winter 2025 collection for Dries Van Noten will be unveiled in January 2025 in a lookbook format. His debut womenswear runway collection for the Fall/Winter 2025 season will be presented on March 5th during Paris Fashion Week.
