Louis Vuitton releases High Jewelry collection celebrating France’s pioneering Savoir-Faire
French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has released its newest High Jewelry collection celebrating the mastery and ingenuity of the incredible transformative period of 19th century France.
Titled ‘Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds’, the artful collection encompasses 220 breathtaking creations across 13 distinct themes designed by Louis Vuitton artistic director of Watches and Jewelry Francesca Amfitheatrof.
Noteworthy themes include ‘Splendeur’ inspired by an imperial bed’s floral woodwork patterns featuring rubies from Mozambique and Elegance featuring graphic, interlocking patterns and LV Monogram star cut diamonds.
Ranging from necklaces and chokers to hoop earrings, the collection is an ode to France’s pioneering savoir-faire, and bridges luxurious craftsmanship with the innovative spirit of the 19th century through exceptional High Jewelry.
The collection also recalls the journey of founder Louis Vuitton’s beginnings who opened his business in 1854 as well as which saw the Eiffel Tower take form. The singular and bold design vision exemplifies the houses unique expertise and daring vision, reflecting the intricacies, complications and innovations of the period.
‘Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds tells a story that’s very close to who we are. By showing this mixture of craftsmanship, engineering, invention and bravery – we are really talking about Louis Vuitton. This collection signifies everything that is true to the Maison, true to French luxury, true to Art de Vivre – and we couldn’t celebrate in a better way,’ said Amfitheatrof in a statement.
The Louis Vuitton Awakened Hands, Awakened Minds collection is brought to life with a campaign featuring House Ambassador Ana de Armas who was lensed by Norwegian photographer Solve Sundsbo in a series of striking images. Take a look at the images here.
