Miu Miu unveils new Upcycled collection of Denim & Bags
Italian women’s clothing brand Miu Miu has unveiled a new Upcycled collection of Denim and include bags Patch bags.
The limited-edition collection is the fourth in Miu Miu’s Upcycled series and comprises of wide-legged jeans, trucker jackets, bra tops, baseball caps and hair bands. For the first time it also includes bags made out of leather remnants from Miu Miu designs.
The denim pieces are made from pre-2000 jeans sourced from denim specialists all over the world, specifically chosen for their color, weight qualities of fading, and patina. They are deconstructed and refashioned by hand with the goal to reuse as much fabric as possible.
Alongside the Upcycled Denim and Bags collection, to celebrate Chinese New Year, a capsule comprising of polo shirts, cardigans, cashmere slips and the iconic Wander and Arcadie bags has been released.
Each piece in the 2024 Miu Miu Upcycled collection will be afforded Aura Blockchain verification which is a part of the Aura Blockchain Consortium, which promotes transparency and the use of a single blockchain solution throughout the life cycle of luxury products.
Miu Miu’s Upcycled initiative started in 2020 and devised to uphold the precious nature of vintage clothing and encourage circular design practice, thereby solidifying its commitment to sustainability.
