Lacoste appoints Pelagia Kolotouros as Creative Director of Design
Iconic French brand Lacoste has announced that Pelagia Kolotouros is its new creative design director. The Greek-American designer succeeds Louise Trotter, who left the brand in January after 4 years as creative director.

‘Feeling grateful to be a part of Lacoste’s next chapter. When I look back I realize that everything I’ve achieved was based on active cooperation and friendly agreements,’ Kolotouros said in a simple statement on Instagram.
A graduate from Parsons Design School in New York, the 50-year-old designer started her career in 2008 with the brand Theory in the Women’s and Men’s divisions. She was appointed Men’s Design Director at Calvin Klein in 2003 and later headed the artistic direction of Yeezy. In 2017, she took the position of Global Creative Director at The North Face, before moving to adidas where she oversaw collaborations with Ivy Park and Pharrell Williams for women’s and men’s collections.
An expert at high-profile collaborations, in her new role, Pelagia will also oversee the collaboration between the brand’s creative teams, and the creative communities and collectives engaged with Lacoste. Her appointment marks a new artistic approach for Lacoste, with a collaborative studio model focused on a collective vision.
