Tommy Hilfiger and Shawn Mendes partner to promote Sustainability
American clothing brand Tommy Hilfiger and Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes have partnered to help promote sustainability in fashion.
Mendes serves as the face of a global campaign, titled ‘Classics Reborn’ which includes a collection made entirely of sustainable materials. The collection comprises of styles from Hilfiger’s 1985 Program collection such as Polos made from organic cotton and sustainable denim made using recycled cotton that requires less water during the production.
The partnership also includes a campaign lensed by Craig McDean in which Mendes sports vintage Tommy Hilfiger pieces and a capsule collection co-designed by Mendes launching in spring 2023. In addition, Mendes will wear more sustainable, custom-made Tommy Hilfiger styles throughout his upcoming Wonder: The World Tour, and the brand will also donate $1 million to help offset the environmental impact of the tour.

‘I’ve known Tommy for a few years now and have tremendous respect for his work, so when I learned his vision for his brand of putting sustainable fashion to the forefront, it really aligned with my own goals and felt like the perfect opportunity to collaborate,’ Mendes added.
The Tommy Hilfiger x Shawn Mendes ‘Classics Reborn’ collection will arrive in stores and online on May 16.
