Girlfriend Collective jumps into Swimwear with GF Swim collection
American Sustainable Activewear brand Girlfriend Collective has launched its first Swimwear collection.
Titled ‘GF Swim’ the collection comprises of eight versatile swim styles: three one-piece styles – a classic cut, a one-shoulder silhouette, and a strappy tie-back look, three new swim top styles and two styles of swim bottoms, a high-waisted and low-waisted version.
All of the pieces are available in sizes XXS-6XL and come in five colors. The pieces are sustainably and ethically made from Econyl, a premium fabric created with regenerated nylon made from old fishing nets and other post-industrial waste.
For every GF Swim purchase, the brand will donate 1 percent to Healthy Seas, an initiative that’s all about collecting waste nets and ensuring they become a valuable resource. For every dollar they receive, they can clean up approximately a half-pound of fishing nets from the ocean.
‘Our goal was to design a range of vibrant, fun, summer-friendly swim styles for every body type. Our tops offer a different range of coverage and adjustability while our bottoms give you two staple rises, and we made all of the bikini top silhouettes in one-piece options in case that’s more your vibe,’ said Justine Liu, Girlfriend Collective’s president.
Priced between 38 to 78 USD the Girlfriend Collective GF Swim collection is available now.
