Reformation launches first-ever Sustainable Activewear collection
Los Angeles-based ready-to-wear brand Reformation has launched its first-ever sustainable activewear collection.
Titled ‘Ref Active’ the 11 piece collection collection comprises of two types of activewear: Ecomove and Ecostretch. The first is made from Repreve: a high performance material and is intended for medium to high impact exercise while the latter is made from recycled polyester and spandex and is ideal for lounging.
The collection features sports bras, leggings, a jumpsuit, bike shorts and a bodysuit in seven colors, ranging from black to hot coral. It is also size inclusive with all of the pieces available in sizes XS through 3X. Prices range between 48 and 118 USD.
‘We’re excited to provide our customers with a better activewear option that’s trend forward and more sustainable. The collection is made with Repreve, a fabric that uses 100-percent post-consumer recycled plastic bottles and is 100-percent traceable from start to finish. Repreve also allows customers to see the number of bottles recycled and the savings in greenhouse gas emissions, water, and energy for each style, so they can make informed choices when it comes to fashion,’ said Kathleen Talbot, Reformation’s Chief Sustainability Officer & VP Operations, in an official statement.
