Sissy-Boy makes a restart after bankruptcy
Dutch clothing and home accessories chain Sissy-Boy gets a reboot after being declared bankrupt by the court of Amsterdam last Friday.
Termeer Group, the Dutch family-owned company which owns shoe brands such as Sacha and Manfield announced on Saturday that it will take over the retail chain. According to Ward Termeer, the group’s CEO by supplementing the shoe brands Sacha and Manfield with the fashion and lifestyle brand Sissy-Boy, the company will strengthen its position. ‘By adding Sissy-Boy to our family, we are creating the right breeding ground for the strength and potential of the brand,’ he said in a statement.
Sissy-Boy has been around since 1982 and has a total of 45 stores throughout the Netherlands, with around six hundred employees and turnover of 60 million euros last year. The aim of the Termeer Group is to retain as many jobs and stores as possible.
