Dutch fashion label Zoe Karssen declared bankrupt
Amsterdam based fashion label Zoe Karssen has been declared bankrupt by the Amsterdam court.
Nothing is known as to the cause of the bankruptcy however bankruptcy trustee Ernst Jan Beerdsen said that there is a likelihood of the brand continuing since the parent company Zoe Karssen International BV and Zoe Karssen Retail BV are not involved in the bankruptcy.
Founded in 2010 by design duo Zoe and Quince Karssen the brand became known for its recognizable popular quotes on its T-shirts and sweaters immediately attracting the attention of many celebrities. International stars such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Keira Knightly, Kate Hudson, and Emma Roberts have been spotted in the brand on several occasions. Later, the brand expanded with denim and knitwear as well as menswear and stationary in 2016.
The brands’ website is currently offline with an under construction message while its Instagram page has been set to private.
