French fashion house Chanel has opened a new boutique at the legendary 31 rue Cambon in the first arrondissement in Paris.

Originally a mansion, the building was transformed into a true Art Deco paradise according to Coco’s exacting specifications by architects Louis Faure-Dujarric and Pierre Figarol, who designed the central court of Roland Garros. In February 1918, it was bought by Gabrielle Chanel and became the ultimate Maison of Chanel.

As Chanel’s first ever boutique in Paris, the four-storey townhouse consisted of a boutique with a famed Art Deco staircase, Haute Couture salons, and a private apartment.

The newly restored three historic buildings took almost three years to complete and spreads over 1500 square meters encompassing different architectural styles and eras. Designed by New York-based architect Peter Marino, the boutique has spaces dedicated to each category of Chanel’s offerings: ready-to-wear, accessories, watches, fine jewelry, perfume, and beauty.
