Riani is our ‘Brand of the Week’.

The German fashion label was founded in Schorndorf in 1978 by Jurgen Buckenmaier and laid the cornerstone for success with its Bucki trousers with over 100,000 pairs being sold.

Riani is known for fashion that fits perfectly everywhere and at all times ensuring women always look their best with its skillful cuts. Its offerings include top-quality comprehensive collections for all occasions with the brand using exquisite materials many of which are even manufactured exclusively for the company.

There is a great deal of love and care that goes into the manufacture of the clothing and even today majority of production still takes place at the company headquarters in Schorndorf: Italian lightness meets German values.

The label has been growing rapidly and in 2007, Jurgen’s wife Martina joined the company as CEO, and for the 35th anniversary in 2013, Riani showed for the first time a collection at the Berlin Fashion Week. Mona Buckenmaier is the second generation of the family-run company and serves as its Senior Business Development Manager. She not only represents the next generation of RIANISTAs, but is responsible for introducing the brand towards new frontiers and digitalization.

In 2017 Riani partnered with Lodenfrey to open a store at Schafflerhof in the heart of Munich while this year in celebration of its 40th anniversary, the brand opened a flagship Store in North-Rhine Westphalia as well as launched its first online store and a shoppable Instagram marking another important milestone in its success story.
