Fendi opens first boutique in Amsterdam
Fendi is set to make its debut in the Netherlands with its own boutique.
The Italian fashion house will open its first Dutch flagship store in Amsterdam’s famous luxury shopping street: PC Hooftstraat 71. The store is located in the former building of British retailer Karen Millen, where recently new stores of Christian Louboutin and Isabel Marant have been opened.
Consisting of two floors with a combined retail space of 230 square meters, the store will feature both women’s and men’s collections including accessories. The men’s collection is located under the ground floor, while the women’s collection will be on the ground floor. Throughout the boutique sketches by creative director, Karl Lagerfeld can be found on the walls.
The interior of the boutique has been provided by Milan design studio Dimore Studio, which designs retail locations worldwide for brands such as Hermes, Maison Kitsune, and Sonia Rykiel.
Fendi began in 1925 as a small leather boutique in Rome and over the years grew into one of the larger luxury fashion houses worldwide. The brand is 90 percent owned by LVMH, where the Fendi family still has a minority stake. Fendi has more than two hundred boutiques worldwide.
The Fendi boutique will open on 7 July.
