H & M announces design cooperation with Moschino
H & M’s next designer collaboration is with Moschino.
The news was announced by Gigi Hadid via Instagram on Saturday night, during Jeremy Scott’s 11th annual party at the Coachella festival in California. The model and the designer appeared sporting looks from the ‘Moschino [tv] H & M’ collaboration, giving fans a first look at the playful and humorous designs.
‘I’m so excited about ‘Moschino [tv] H & M,’ Scott said in a statement. ‘My life’s work has been to connect with people through fashion, and with this collaboration, I’ll be able to reach more fans than ever before.’
The Moschino x H & M collection will be priced between 29 and 345 euros. According to Scott, the collection has a sportswear meets evening wear feeling. It will consist of men’s and women’s items ranging from a silver sequined parka dress to jeans and quilted jackets. One can also expect Moschino ‘s distinctive accessories.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor of H & M spoke about the cooperation in a press release: ‘Moschino x H & M is the perfect collaboration for today’s fashion, through the combination of pop, street culture, logos, and glamor. Jeremy is great – he knows how to make fashion fun and connect with fans around the world.’
Moschino will follow in the footsteps of the highly successful Erdem cooperation of 2017, with a collection consisting of women’s and men’s fashion as well as accessories. The brand joins the impressive list of fashion houses that have already worked with the high-street brand – including Balmain, Marni, Kenzo and Versace, Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant, Dutch Viktor & Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld who did it for the first time in 2004.
The “Moschino x H & M” collection will be available from 8 November 2018 onwards.
