Zadig & Voltaire and Christy Turlington collaborate for women’s rights
Zadig & Voltaire has teamed up Every Mother Counts, an association founded by Christy Turlington for a line of three t-shirts.
The Parisian fashion house known for its skinny leather pants and moto jackets, unveiled the political statement tee during its Fall/Winter 2018-2019 show which took place in New York on February 12th.
The white T-shirt features a black-and-white protest image of a sign that says ‘Girls just wanna have fundamental rights.’ The polaroid was taken by Italian fashion photographer Micol Sabbadini during the iconic Women’s March of New York in 2017. ‘Give us hope,’ and ‘Love will rise above all’ are the messages of the second and third tee respectively.
The shirts retail for $100 and are available in shops and online at both Zadig & Voltaire and Every Mother Counts. Proceeds from the sale of each shirt will be donated to Every Mother Counts, that defends the rights of women and mothers who experience pregnancy in difficult circumstances, who can not afford the medical care they need for them and their children.
