Isabel Marant to open first store in the Netherlands
French fashion house Isabel Marant will open its first store in the Netherlands later this year.
The store will be located at the PC Hooftstraat 114 in Amsterdam, where Dutch clothing chain McGregor had their flasgship store for many years, until they had to leave due to bankruptcy in early September 2017.
The store will have a floor area of approximately 200 square meters and will consist of a ground floor and a basement. The building will undergoe an extensive renovation prior to the opening. The news of the opening was also confirmed by international real estate advisor Cushman & Wakefield, who advised the french label on renting the store.
Isabel Marant started in 1990 as under the name ‘Twen’ and was renamed Isabel Marant in 1994. It originally sold outwear for women, but became known for its shoe collections. In 2000 Isabel Marant expanded the label with the line’Etoile’, a more casual and affordable card. Worldwide Isabel Marant has 26 own stores and sales outlets in about 40 countries. The brand is currently available in the Netherlands, through various retailers such as the Bijenkorf department store.
The Isabel Marant store in Amsterdam is expected to open its doors in May.
