Tommy Hilfiger launches a Gigi Hadid Barbie doll for Christmas
Gigi Hadid has been immortalized as a Barbie doll as part of the Gigi x Tommy collection.
Styled in a classic navy Tommy Hilfiger flag hoodie, white shorts with red trim and brand logo and white slip-on sneakers, the doll matches Hadid’s closing look for the fall 2016 TommyNow experiential runway event during which Hadid was introduced as global brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger women’s wear.
‘The collaboration with Gigi and Barbie was an exciting new twist on our brand’s history of partnering with pop-culture icons and our ongoing ambassadorship with Gigi,’ Tommy Hilfiger said in a statement. ‘The final look of the Tommy x Gigi Barbie doll is a celebration of a defining moment in the history of Tommy Hilfiger women’s wear.’
The collaboration between Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger is now in their third season, with the fourth collaboration being unveiled next February during the TommyNow 2018 show.
‘I’m so honored to have my own Barbie, which celebrates an iconic moment in my partnership with Tommy Hilfiger,’ Hadid commented on her plastic lookalike. ‘Seeing the final look of the doll was an amazing experience, and I’m excited to share this really cool creation with fans around the world.’
The Gigi-Barbie is available on Tommy.com, Barbie.com and selected Tommy Hilfiger flagship stores. Priced at $50, it comes with a doll stand and a certificate of authenticity.
