Imaan Hammam Covers US Vogue’s ‘Then & Now’ December 2017 Issue
Imaan Hammam graces the subscriber cover of American Vogue’s December 2017 issue.
The dutch model who is of Moroccan-Egyptian origin was chosen by the American magazine in celebration of its 125th anniversary. Striking a pose alongside Hammam is multihyphenate musician / designer / model Pharrell Williams.
The duo were lensed by none other than famous photographer Mario Testino for a series of high flying inspiring shots that prove “black is beautiful”. On the cover Imaan can be seen sporting a Chanel ensemble, a Gucci turban, a LL Bean turtleneck and Dinosaur Designs earrings.
Styling was by stylist Lucinda Chambers – who recently left British Vogue after many years of service while hair was done by Dutch hairstylist Christiaan Houtenbos. Houtenbos was also responsible for the hair of Doutzen Kroes and Lara Stone, for the cover of the jubilee issue of Vogue Nederlands, which was also lensed by Testino.
Vogue America’s ‘Then & Now’ issue takes a look back at the great minds and brilliant artists who’ve made impactful changes in culture, beauty, politics and fashion. The Newsstand issue features Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep wearing Michael Kors Collection, lensed by Annie Leibovitz.
