Gucci collaborates with Japanese artist Yuko Higuchi on children’s line
Gucci is once again indulging in a special collaboration with a contemporary artist.
The Italian fashion house has partnered with Japanese artist Yuko Higuchi known for his bizarre, imaginative compositions to design a spring/summer 2018 children’s collection. The Fukuzawa Ichiro Award-winning creative had first worked with the Kering-owned luxury brand on two prints for its spring/summer 2018 men’s and women’s collections.
For the Spring / Summer 2018 children’s collection of Gucci, Higuchi’s cat illustrations are featured on dresses, sweaters, T-shirts, shoes, hats, bags and additional children’s accessories.
This is one of Gucci’s several collaborations with an artist. Earlier this year the brand released a capsule collection designed in partnership with Spanish artist Coco Capitan, Ignasi Monreal on a wall art project and last month a 40-piece collection with Unskilled Worker.
The Yuko Higuchi items are available in Gucci stores and online.
