Proenza Schouler launches a collection of affordable essentials
Proenza Schouler has unveiled a basics collection called PSWL – Proenza Schouler White Label.
Inspired by its ready-to-wear collections, the new line includes outerwear basics such as jackets, jeans, hoodies, t-shirts and long powder-pink waterproofs with a high cool factor. More casual and much freer, the pieces of the collecion are aimed at a younger clientele while the price is more affordable. The brand also tapped actress Chloe Sevigny, a close friend of designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough, as the muse of the collection.
‘It felt wrong for us that we never tried this kind of clothing in the context of the collections. We always wanted to be the brand for those who appreciate our work, but it felt incomplete to us without offering the other side of the spectrum,’ McCollough and Hernandez told Vogue.com.
Available from November 6, Proenza Schouler’s basics will be sold online via Nordstrom , The Webster and Farfetch, and can also be purchased through Proenza Schouler’s website.
