Claudia Schiffer to release a new book this year
German supermodel Claudia Schiffer is set to release a book celebrating her 30th anniversary in the fashion industry.
Titled ‘Claudia Schiffer’, the coffee table book is ‘a highly personal collection of her favorite fashion moments and a tour-de-force of beauty, tracing her work from ubermodel to muse to modern-day icon’. It will also contain pictures of her campaigns for Guess Jeans and Chanel, as well as images from photoshoots captured by Mario Testino and Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Arthur Elgort, Steven Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo and Ellen von Unwerth.
Schiffer took to Instagram to share the news with the books cover image of herself naked and covering her breasts with her arms crossed. ‘Very excited to announce the launch this Fall of my book with @rizzolibooks celebrating 30 years of iconic fashion moments. Thank you all for making this possible! X Cover by @mariotestino. #CLAUDIA30YEARS’ she captioned the post. The cover was taken from a photoshoot with Mario Testino in 2007 for Vogue Paris.
The book features a foreword by Photographer Ellen von Unwerth who is best known for her seductive imagery, including the world-famous GUESS? campaigns featuring Schiffer. Contributions of prominent companions of Schiffer are also included from the likes of Cindy Crawford, Dolce & Gabbana and Eva Herzigova.
‘Claudia Schiffer’ will be published by Rizzoli in the autumn of 2017. The German version will be published by Prestel (available from September 2017 onwards).
