Bella Hadid Channels Kate Moss in V Magazine
Bella Hadid has been enlisted by V Magazine as the face of its spring fashion editorial spread.
Lensed by renowned fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, Hadid walks in the footsteps of Kate Moss chanelling her legendary Calvin Klein look from the 90s.
In a series of NSFW black and white images that are so close to the original, the 20-year-old proves that she is in no way inferior to the ones of the then 19-year-old Moss. Sporting minimal clothing and wet hair the editorial gives a certain Deja-vu experience. ‘I feel so lucky to be able to work with someone who I look up to so much,’ Hadid told WWD of working with Sorrenti. ‘He is such an incredible energy on and off set and so much fun to work with.’
‘Every time we shoot or see [Bella], we always see her being very glamorous,’ Sorrenti said. ‘The photographs always focus on the fashion and less on the girl, and I think she’s such a beautiful, sweet girl. I really felt like taking some pictures of her that kind of reveal a more sensitive and natural side of her. I don’t know her as a public figure, but as a model, I think she’s interesting because she’s beautiful,’ he added.
The latest issue of V Magazine is available from the 7th of March.
