Zoe Kravitz stars in YSL Beauty web series
Zoe Kravitz is the star of Yves Saint Laurent Beauty’s multi-part web series ‘Before the light’ which explores the link between artists and their pre-show make-up routines.
Directed by French filmmaker Fabien Constant, the Musician and actress appears in the first episode backstage with her band Lolawolf while applying eyeliner and lip gloss. She talks about what make-up means to her saying ‘To me, makeup is this kind of war paint sometimes, especially before a show. It changes the kind of performance that I’m going to give, the aesthetic that I’m kind of in touch with that night.’
Kravitz who was tapped by YSL as its new US ‘beauty muse’ earlier this year is not the only musician to appear in the web-series. South Korean singer Gain and Nili Hadida of the French band Lilly Wood and the Prick are set to follow in forthcoming episodes.
