Bella Hadid Poses For Mario Testino’s ‘Towel Series’
Bella Hadid is the latest celebrity to star in Mario Testino’s “Towel Series”.
The 19-year-old sister of Gigi Hadid stares into the camera while sporting nothing but a white terry cloth as the 119th subject. Taking to Instagram, she wrote ‘thank You @mariotestino Such A Dream Of Mine!!!!! Xo’.
In a behind-the-scenes video, titled ‘Under the Towel’ Testino explained that the famous Towel series was born when he noticed Kate Moss sat in a white robe with a towel wrapped high around her head on the set of a shoot. ‘She had a shower and she came right after the shower towards me and asked me what I was doing, and I was like, ‘Wow, you look incredible like that,’. She had no hair, no makeup, just a towel wrapped around her head. And I realized that women, when they put towels around their head, they all of the sudden look like queens of some sort. It’s that nothing that makes you look like everything,’ the legendary fashion photographer said.
For her part Hadid who has been on a roll with appearances on the runway and ad campaigns, joins the ranks of numerous Hollywood stars who also participated in the series like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and models including Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Georgia May Jagger to name a few.
