Karl Lagerfeld photographed Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme
Robert Pattinson is the face of Dior Homme’s ready-to-wear 2016 autumn collection by designer Kris Van Assche.
The British actor was photographed by none other than Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld for a series of black and white images. Pattinson appears dressed in a plaid shirt and dark trousers relaxing on a chair with rolled up sleeves, sunglasses and hair in the style of the 50s reminiscent of icons such as Elvis Presley and James Dean. In another image, the 29-year-old movie star looks directly into the camera sporting casual looks consisting of shirt and tie.
‘We approached Robert Pattinson for Dior Homme’s autumn 2016 campaign,’ said Sidney Toledano, CEO of Christian Dior Couture. ‘He was already the face of the fragrance Dior Homme and he was excited to also be the face of fashion. When we told him that Karl Lagerfeld was photographing the campaign, Robert was even more enthusiastic and, in fact, the campaign reflects perfectly the spirit of Dior Homme’.
Pattinson has already collaborated in the past with the French fashion house and has been the face of Dior Homme fragrances since 2012. The new ads will run worldwide in print magazines including Big Black Book, Esquire, GQ and Robb Report, as well as outdoors, in shop windows and online.
