Mulberry’s creative director introduces a new logo
Mulberry’s new creative director Johnny Coca has introduced a fresh logo for the British heritage brand.
The Spanish designer who debuted his collection during the Autumn Winter 2016 runway show at London Fashion Week, is revising the Mulberry logo to one from the 1970s, which capitalizes only the letter M in the brand name. In a video that offers a peek into the new collection and what’s to come for Mulberry under his leadership, elements like flowers, chains, a warm color palette and architecture serve as cues as the inspiration behind the collection.
‘I wanted to reinforce the British character and sensibility of Mulberry,’ he said. ‘It’s quite humbling to be trusted with this brand that people love and feel is very much part of them and their lives. In my role as creative director I want to push the boundaries, but also respect the values and DNA at the core of Mulberry.’
