Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Naomi Campbell Star In Burberry 2015 ‘Festive’ Campaign
Burberry sure does things in style and for its Christmas advertising campaign it recreated the opening scene of Billy Elliot.
To mark the 15th anniversary of the film, the Mario Testino photographed campaign enlisted an all-star British cast of models, actors and musicians. It stars Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, her brother Toby Huntington-Whiteley and Naomi Campbell, musicians Sir Elton John, James Bay and George Ezra, presenter James Corden, actress Michelle Dockery and Burberry favorite Romeo Beckham.
In addition to the still images a three minute campaign video was also released with the same cast. Burberry also announced that a donation of 500,000 pounds to be divided between the charities Place2Be, and the County Durham Community foundation, both of which have projects on reducing barriers to education, training, and employment in the local area.
‘Billy Elliot is an incredible film full of so much joy and energy, so it was a real thrill and a great honour to be able to celebrate its 15 year anniversary through our Festive campaign,’ said Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer in a release. ‘It was also a huge privilege to work with such amazing and iconic British talent – the cast are quite simply some of the biggest names in film, music, and fashion and it was so much fun working with them all to make this special film.’
