Unique Fashion Week Prague 2015
As one of their adverts says ‘ Prague has history , Prague is romantic , Prague has fashion….. Prague is unique’. There is no doubt that the capital of Czech Republic is very fast growing in terms of the fashion business. Thanks to its designer butiques , fashion events and the prestigious fashion schools such as UMPRUM it has a lot to offer. The quality of garments is no different than the one presented in fashion cities – London , Paris , New York and Milan. Well done for the Czech tailors at first!
Unique Fashion Weekappeared to be an idea of the fashion elite from Prague- Karolina Bosakova, Barbora Bergova and Petra Nemcova. The fashionistas came up with the plan not only to attract people but to promote their national designers . As Karolina Bosakova admits ‘We wanted to show current collections that are available in stores now to help the designers. We also wanted to motivate them by collaborating with an international fashion labels (Marc Cain , Van Graaf) so they needed to try harder! There are no buyers in the audience – they are just the people who are into fashion and the press’. The PR agency ‘BB Media’ SEO Barbora Bergova says that she hopes that the fashion business will grow very fast in the nearest future and the Unique Fashion Week will attract more attention.
The event took place in the heart of Prague – in Slovansky Dum which is the shopping centre. It featured the fashion shows of Czech designers such as Shiu , Beata Rajska and Blazek and the international famous and loved by many stylish people – Marc Cain and Van Graaf.
Fingers crossed for more ‘them-likes’ in the future.
