Gigi Hadid Is The New Face Of Topshop
Move over, Cara Delevingne! Gigi Hadid is the new face of Topshop.
The all American beauty was announced as the face of their autumn/winter 2015 campaign taking over from Delevingne (who is also a friend and fronted two seasons for the brand). Topshop took to twitter to announce Hadid as their new face with a tweet: “Heard the news? Introducing @GigiHadid, our AW15 campaign girl! (sic)”.
Photographed by Tyrone Lebon and styled by Topshop creative director Kate Phelan, 20-year-old Hadid makes an easy and effortless transition of filling Delevingne’s boots as she models the new collection in a series of by the high-street retailer.
Topshop who already has a presence in 40 countries chose Hadid as a way to expand its international reach. In addition, it is also planning its retail debut in Middle East, Germany, Canada, Panama, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Netherlands, and across Europe for 2016.
“Working with Gigi Hadid on this campaign continues to strengthen our international vision for the TOPSHOP brand,” Sir Philip Green said. “We are continually developing our footprint across all markets with ambitious plans both in the UK and internationally and I feel like Gigi is an ideal ambassador to underpin these efforts.”
With campaigns for Balmain and Maxmara under her belt for the upcoming autumn/winter 2015 season, Gigi appears to be fast becoming one of the most famous names in the fashion industry as she expands her impressive resume.
