Alexa Chung Fronts July Harper’s Bazaar UK
Alexa Chung is the cover star of the July 2015 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK.
The 31 year old model and presenter who is also the face of Longchamp appears in two covers (newsstand and subscriber editions) photographed by David Slijper and styled the Leith Clark. Sporting ensembles by Burberry Prorsum and Simone Rocha the style icon celebrates her English style looking summer ready in a chic photoshoot that took place in the grounds of Shotover House in Oxfordshire.
In addition to her summery photoshoot Chung who is also a contributing editor at British Vogue gave a candid interview with the Glossy. Describing her style as “a balance between masculinity and femininity” she adds “It’s a sexy way to dress because it’s confident. A bad outfit can really get me down. If I’m wearing something really normal and boring, it’s like torture.”
Chung who previously dated Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner from 2007 to 2011 is now rumored to be dating True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard, 38 and insists “I don’t like being told what to do. And I don’t want to be penned in. I don’t want to feel I have to be anywhere…I am quite restless. It makes me a nightmare to date, I think.”
With more than 1.5 million Twitter followers and 1.7 million Instagram followers she says social media is unmistakably important and something to be respected but that she would never do anything that wasn’t genuine. “They have an effect on whether brands choose to work with you or not. “But it seems a bit silly that it’s become something to be respected. I mean, it’s just fun isn’t it? I could never do anything that wasn’t genuine. I turn down a lot of things.”
And when it comes to twitter trolls “I ignore it. Sometimes I respond, but I try not to. I don’t think I need to get involved in that. I know it happens to everyone, and I don’t pay any attention because it’s not relevant to my life.” she adds.
Chung who is from Privett, Hampshire, now lives between New York and London.
