Doutzen Kroes Shares Intimate Breastfeeding Picture
Doutzen Kroes took to Instagram on sunday to share a photo of herself pumping breast milk on Instagram. “Daily routine! I’m promoting breastfeeding, it’s the best for your baby when possible! #breastfeeding #breastpump #breastfeedingmom #breastfeedingawareness,” the mother of two captioned the pic.
This isn’t Doutzen’s first public statement about breastfeeding. Earlier this year she appeared in an editorial for the March 2015 Vogue Netherland’s Collectors’ Issue in which she and her husband were pictured with their children, while Doutzen breastfed 5-month-old daughter Myllena Mae.
The former Victoria’s Secret angel is a huge advocate for breastfeeding and joins the ranks of celebrity mums who have taken to Instagram to make a statement about breastfeeding. From the fashion fraternity several models have voiced their support for promoting the natural act of breastfeeding. Famously, Gisele Bundchen in 2013 nursing her daughter and Miranda Kerr breastfeeding her son Flynn when he was born in 2011. In 2014 Natalia Vodianova had posted a stunning black-and-white intimate picture of her breastfeeding her little baby Maxim. Taken by photographer Paolo Rovers the image received much acclaim on social media.
The topic of breastfeeding has been controversial for quite sometime, with a number of celebs have spoken out in support of the practice with the hope that it becomes completely commonplace.
