Linda Evangelista Is The New Face Of Hudson’s Bay’s The Room
90’s catwalk queen Linda Evangelista has been named the face of The Room at Hudson’s Bay’s spring-summer 2015 campaign.
Photographed by Pamela Hanson, the 49 year old Canadian model stars in the Canadian department store’s new spots, sporting prints from the likes of top brands like Moschino, Versace, Simone Rocha, and Iris Van Herpen to name a few.
Michael Crotty, Hudson’s Bay executive vice president and chief marketing officer, told WWD ‘Linda represents sophisticated fashion. Her beauty has transcended time, ‘we are seeing brands and designers looking for more mature authentic faces in their campaigns.’
The campaign with Evangelista will run in the March issues of Elle Canada and Fashion Magazine, the April issue of Vogue, and in The Globe and Mail, and Vancouver Sun.
Evangelista was one of the group of supermodels along with Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer who became famous in the 1990s for ruling the catwalk and supposedly coined the phrase: ‘We don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day’ symbolizing the high money, high fashion world they lived in.
