Naomi Campbell’s fingernails & handbag are lethal weapons…allegedly
When will people learn?
Catwalk queen Naomi Campbell stands accused – again – of letting her temper get the best of her. This time the uber-model used a handbag instead of a cell phone to do damage.
While on vacation in Lipari, Sicily on the yacht of Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, the supermodel is rumored to have scratched paparazzo Gaetano Di Giovanni’s face and then clocked him with her purse.
Di Giovanni claims that her nails did some serious damage to his left eye, according to the Italian newspaper La Republica.
Of course the Campbell camp denies everything and even go as far as saying that the same shutterbug was spotted following Campbell the day after the alleged incident happened.
Police on Lipari – part of the Eoliean Islands that are popular with celebs – say they do not have an official complaint from the photographer. Campbell’s Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladimir Doronin (PICTURED ABOVE, LEFT) – who she was seen cavorting on the beach at the Setai Hotel in SoBe during Art Basel last year – was nowhere to be seen.
Campbell attacked police at Heathrow Airport in London in a heated argument over her lost luggage last year. She was arrested, banned from flying British Airways and sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
In 2007 she pleaded guilty to hurling a cell phone at her maid Ana Scolavino – a Floridian – in her Manhattan apartment over a missing pair of jeans. She ended up taking a court-ordered anger management course and five days of community service mopping floors at New York’s Sanitation Department.
In 2005 Campbell’s assistant Amanda Brack said she was slapped and beaten with a Blackberry. Around the same time Italian actress and close friend at-the-time, Yvonne Scio, said that Campbell attacked her when Campbell arrived to pick up Scio at the Eden Hotel in Rome for a party. Scio made the mistake of wearing the same dress as Naomi…allegedly.
In 2000 she pleaded guilty in a Toronto court of assaulting assistant Georgina Galanis with a hotel telephone and then threatening to throw Galanis out of a moving car.
