Hannah Davis lands cover of the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue
The long wait for this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has at last come to a end. The front cover of the 2015 edition of the hotly anticipated glossy has just been unveiled, and making her grand debut as a cover girl is American mannequin Hannah Davis.
The twenty-four year old bombshell, whose feature in the pages of this year’s number marks her third consecutive appearance, will also be integrating into the coveted annual publication’s exclusive league of cover stars. Davis is captured by the camera lens of none other than the noted British fashion photographer Ben Watts as she rocks a skimpy lace overlay two piece swimsuit to help produce one of Sports Illustrated’s steamiest cover shots to date.
Almost exposing a little more than intended, the blonde beauty, who is also the girlfriend of former Major League Baseball player Derek Jeter, is seen pulling down her already barely-there bikini bottoms while posing against a relatively unexpected backdrop setting. Instead of the usual tropical beach scene which distinguishes the front of the yearly magazine, the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue’s cover photo was taken on a lush green farm in Walland, Tennessee.
“I told my mom there was no way I’d get the cover,” a wonderfully surprised Davis admitted when she learned of the news that she was chosen to succeed Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen on Tuesday afternoon (the third of February). “I told her ‘They do beaches for covers and I’m on a farm. There’s no way. It’s not possible.'” The 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is set to hit newsstands on Monday, the ninth of February.
