Ruby Rose Lands Acting Role
Australian model and television presenter Ruby Rose has landed herself a major acting role. The Wilhelmina Model will be joining the third season of the Netflix dramedy “Orange Is The New Black”. She will play the role of Stella Carlin, an inmate “whose sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates.” The character will be introduced as a romantic interest for the show’s two leads: inmates Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon).
Rose announced the news in an interview with the American edition of Elle magazine. On Tuesday she hinted at the character’s name on social media, using the hashtag #stellaishere. With a fair amount of TV experience having been a television presenter, and as an MTV “veejay” the model should have no qualms as she faces the cameras.
The third series of Orange is the New Black is currently filming in the US and it will air in June this year.
