Doutzen Kroes Is Glamour Netherlands’ Woman Of The Year 2014
2014 is definitely the year of Doutzen Kroes. The Supermodel won the dutch edition of Glamour Magazine’s Woman of the Year 2014 award. Held last night at the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam she was given the award by editor Sanne Groot Koerkamp.
“Doutzen Kroes is an icon of her generation. She is the great example for all 230,000 Glamour readers. Doutzen dares to pursue her dreams, is empowering and socially involved. She radiates international fame, ambition and lust for life, just like Glamour, “said Glamour editor Sanne Groot Koerkamp.
Doutzen was was delighted with her election: “I think this is very special. There are so many important women went with me for this award.” The top model thanked her mother saying that she was an inspiration to her. “I especially want to thank my mother,” she said. “She is now sixty years and has always been a great inspiration to me. She has taught me that a career and a family can go well together.”
The event was also notable with Doutzen presenting an award to her sister Rens who won in the Food & Health category. Several notable fraternity of the fashion world were present for the event, From Lieke van Lexmond and sister Jetteke to designer Henry Holland and Pixie Geldof.
