Sky Living discontinues Naomi Campbell’s The Face
British supermodel Naomi Campbell is responsible for creating one of the most popular modeling panel reality shows, but the British version of The Face seemingly didn’t live up to expectations and will be no longer be aired on Sky Living after only one season.
Does that mean the UK version will be canceled for good? According to a source close to the legendary mannequin, the series will likely go on, but on a different television network. “Naomi is very proud of The Face in particular the opportunities it gives to young models starting out in their careers. Making the show accessible to the largest possible audience was always key, but unfortunately the limited viewership of the cable channel was prohibitive to finding the show’s natural audience,” the source told The Telegraph.
The British version’s debut season saw supermodels Erin O’Connor and Caroline Winberg alongside executive producer Naomi Campbell going head to head with one another to find the face of a major fashion brand. Australia and the United States also have their own versions of the franchise, with Canada and France following soon.
