Cindy Crawford to release a new book

The legendary American supermodel Cindy Crawford is getting set to take on the role of author for an upcoming book about her nearly three-decades-long modeling career and the lessons it has taught her.

She may still be almost two years away from her fiftieth birthday, but the forty-eight year-old beauty is not at all afraid of hitting her half-century mark. In fact, she sees the book, which will be published by Rizzoli and released in autumn of next year, as a way of celebrating it in advance.

“It’s not just a coffee-table book with images, although that will be part of it,” Crawford told WWD. “It’s not a biography. It’s sort of a hybrid book. It’ll come out in the fall before I turn 50, so it’s kind of a way to celebrate turning 50 as opposed to dreading it.”

“Beauty changes as I get older,” added the brunette fashion icon. “I’ve always found that beauty and confidence are synonymous. If you feel confident, that’s what people see. I always tell people to fake it until they make it.”
