Victoria Beckham covers Elle Singapore

She is one of the most prominent style icons, achieving greater recognition as a fashion designer than as a musician, and British beauty Victoria Beckham has been tapped to grace the cover of the latest issue of Elle Singapore.

The forty year-old businesswoman, who is seen on the front of the July 2014 number wearing one of Burberry‘s signature trench coats, may have put her Spice Girl days behind her, but has not lost her “girl power” mentality. She spoke in an interview with the magazine, saying she wants to give women confidence through her clothing.

When asked to describe the type of woman who wears her fashion label, the brunette mother-of-four, who was dubbed Posh Spice during her pop star years, replied; “I think that she’s a woman that wants to look good. Appreciates luxury. Likes fashion. I want to make a woman feel her best. I want to empower women.”

Beckham also spoke about how she loves a good laugh, despite her seemingly stern appearance. “People are probably surprised that I have a sense of humour. I like to take the mickey out of myself.” she declared. “As much as I take what I do very seriously, I also want to have fun. I like to poke fun at myself… And I think that surprises people.”
