Kate Upton is Vanity Fair’s Golden Girl!
Model of the year, Kate Upton channels Marilyn Monroe for Vanity Fair’s 100th anniversary issue wearing a gold bodysuit and looking like an absolute siren flashing bold red lips and holding a cake with one lighted candle in one hand.
The pouty pose brings back images of Marilyn Monroe and the stunning images were shot by famed photographer Annie Liebovitz. The special anniversary issue marking 100 years of Vanity Fair from 1913-2013 bears the title, Kate Upton Blows Out the Candle… and it’s also a tribute to the model who has made it from just a bikini model to one of the most sought after models of her time. Her appearance on the cover comes days after she was announced as 2013’s Model of The Year, a coup in itself.
Kate has come a long ways and she’s proved the pundits wrong especially Victoria Secret’s model booker, Sophia Neophitou, who once said, “She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and the kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”
The October issue of Vanity Fair in on sale now.
