Pitti Uomo 84 – Mens Dream
Stylish men where ever you look, numerous streetstyle photographers and beautiful clothes. This is the short summary of four days at Pitti Uomo in Florence!
Yes, we were at one of the most well-known menswear events in the world. It was incredible, breathtaking and you didn’t know where to look first. All big brands, like G-Star Raw, Gant and small brands like Shwood were showcased at Pitti Uomo. If you are a fashion expert or a menswear buyer, Florence was the place to be, from the 18th to the 21st of June.
There are a lot of streetstyle blogs out there in the world wide web, and if you are a really cool guy, wearing the top brands of the season, there are plenty of photographers in front of the enormous fair entrance just wating to take your photo. The guests of Pitti Uomo make it really easy for them, dressed up from head to toe in fantastic looks you will only see. Kenzo and Givenchy are definitely the mens favourite at the moment and if you want, you find all the looks online.
Not only is the fair interesting, but also the side events which take place all over the city. We were attending some fashion shows we really enjoyed. The show of Pitti Uomo’s guest designer Kolor was fresh and cool. It took place on an open air sport field and the whole runway were displayed on a big wall. The collection itself was truly sporty and it was the first time Junichi Abe used prints in his collection. Also, some fashion celebs were spotted at this show like the mysterious Diane Pernet from A shaded View on Fashion.
If you wanted to relax a bit and have an italian aperitivo you had to be at the Tommy Hilfiger Store Party. The press lady told us, it would be a small event, but if you know Tommy, it’s never a small cozy party. All the cool kids and Florence High Society were strolling around the store and sipping their aperol sprizz.
One of the most memorable moments was the fashion installation from the neat brand MSGM. In an old factory building, the brand created a frame of wood and lights, the male and female models were standing in front of it, with skateboarders doing stunning tricks between the models. The collection was very colourful. Floral prints and some camouflage textures satisfied the crowd. It reminded us a little bit of Kenzo’s collections but we must say, it’s one of our favourite menswear collection of this season.
To complete our little summary of the Pitti Uomo in Florence, we say „Ciao a tutti“ and drink an aperol sprizz. We’re definitely coming back, just to see all the stylish men, getting inspired by the thousands of brands and partying with the beautiful citizens of Florence. We love Pitti Uomo and hope you will love it too.
