She’s one to watch and Victoria’s Secret angel and supermodel from Down-Under, Miranda Kerr, rarely puts the wrong fashion foot forward but there’s always a first time and this was it.
Ms Kerr arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday night looking pretty as usual but the gown….hmm….well, it was a little overpowering even for her. It was long, way too long that it seemed to sweep the floor and it was billowy to boot which didn’t do much for her stunning figure. The gorgeous Art Deco-inspired bracelet and the diamond earrings tried but they couldn’t up the glamour factor. Miranda held hands with husband Orlando Bloom, continuously working to keep rumours of a split at bay, as she stared coyly at the cameras. The dress featured a plunging neckline and back but that wasn’t enough to make the grade as “best dressed” at the ball. Perhaps, if it had been just a little shorter….
Actress Lily Collins, on the other hand, sizzled in hers. The sapphire and black lace gown was perfect, it oozed olde-world glamour and the swept back elegant chignon and diamond and sapphire earrings cinched the look of perfection. Natalie Portman dazzled in a white strapless gown as she gazed lovingly at husband Benjamin Millepied and we love those earrings! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley came dressed to impress in a gorgeous ashes of roses colored ruffled gown and model pal, Alessandra Ambrosio showed off in a sheer gold embellished halter neck gown that hugged her curves in all the right places. Naomi Campbell covered her curves in a midnight blue gown that had a black underlay and looked stunning with hair and makeup perfectly in place.
It was a night to see and be seen and they did just that, the celebrities that is. They posed, they dazzled and they put their best styles and smiles forward to make it a night to remember but then again, for some it was a night best left forgotten…..
