“Rosie for Autograph” collection sells out as it hits M&S shelves
The much talked-about debut lingerie line by Victoria’s Secret angel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has proven to be a smashing success. The collection hit M&S shelves last week and has been described as “surpassing all sales expectations.”
And what a coup that is for Rosie. The supermodel has been working hard on the collection putting her personal touch on each piece and according to her, “to find inspiration for the collection I trawled my favourite vintage shops and flea markets in London, LA and Paris where I found a treasure trove of gorgeous clothes and ornate pieces of jewellery, as well as pictures and patterns found in old design books and fashion magazines.” She went on to say that the colour scheme for the collection was, “largely influenced by the rich colours of different roses….I wanted the palette to evoke the beauty of a gorgeous British garden in summer.” And last but not least, it had to be a comfortable fit. She emphasized, “I also drew on my experiences as a model to create lingerie pieces that work on the body and are as comfortable to wear as they are beautiful. My goal was to create a luxurious collection which could flatter women of all ages and sizes, inspiring confidence and making women feel gorgeous in their lingerie.”
There you have it folks, Rosie’s three-prong approach to success. According to M&S, some of the pieces sold-out as soon as they hit the shelves. Looks like all that hard work has paid off for Rosie.
One final note, Rosie has said, “I love everything about lingerie. I’ve always had a thing for it. It is completely feminine, it’s something for women, it’s ours and it’s a little secret.” Well, it’s no secret anymore. We know what English women are now wearing under their everyday wear! The next “Rosie for Autograph” collection will hit M&S stores in October. Be there or be square.
