Kate Moss fronts Mango’s autumn/winter collection
Supermodel, Kate Moss, fronts Mango’s autumn/winter collection after having taken over from last year’s face of the same label, Isabeli Fontana. The shoot was photographed by two of fashion’s best, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
The model who vouched recently to “keep it clean” for a while, meaning going easy on the booze and cigarettes, looked smashing and fresh-faced as she modeled the label’s latest offerings. The brand which is known for its clean-cut tailored styles with black and white being the staples kept to more of the same in the new collection but added lots of colour in tones of bright red, forest green and royal blue to make the designs “pop.”
Speaking about the new collection, Kate had this to say. “The white and leather tuxedo jackets and the pencil skirts with the leather detail on the waist are my favourites. Pencil skirts seem to work for almost anyone and tuxedos are so versatile for day or night. And jeans have a great fit.”
So, there you have it, Kate’s take on what you need to have in your closet to be well-dressed and fashion forward in 2012. The lady should know, she never puts the wrong foot forward as far as fashion is concerned anyway.
Kate who follows in the footsteps of Milla Jovovich, Naomi Campbell and Eva Herzigova who have all fronted campaigns in the past for the Spanish fashion label has what it takes to front their campaign it seems. They say that Kate embodies their concept of “the type of urban, independent and confident woman.”
And she did bring that across as she posed expertly for Mango’s 2012 autumn/winter collection and walked away with another winning campaign on her hands.
