Glamorous supermodels parade at the Met red carpet
Last night, the fashion elite gathered in Manhattan to honour Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli at the Annual Costume Institute Benefit, held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met Ball red carpet is always excpected to bling in style and sparkle with glamour. It is the event where celebrities’ black tie style comes out more daring and outrageous. In other words, the Met begins as a couture show on the red carpet.
A lot of the world’s most famous high-fashion models graced this year’s ball with their towerring heights and naturally chic looks. Some posed to photographers next to their designers while others exhibited a handsome date, but all of them got a nice solo shot to keep their awsomeness in the halls of fame of glittery memories.
Coco Rocha was one of the models strutting their stuff at the Met Ball. She wore Elizabeth Taylor’s Givenchy jumpsuit, autographed by the Hollywood iconic actress with a time resisting wine stain. She completed the outfit with a pink ponytail matching the suit’s bodice.
Anja Rubik also embraced Hollywoodesc influences showing up with a split far higher than Angelina Jolie’s at the Oscars. The blonde beauty was wearing a very revealing Anthony Vaccarello white silk gown, accessorized with golden sleek pieces.
Evoking a dreamy siren, Karolina Kurkova dazzled in a champaign sequin gown designed by Rachel Zoe. Working a matching turban, the model arrived with her designer and stylist.
The Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen, in the company of her husband Tom Brady, stunned in a dark and amazing Givenchy Haute Couture dress.
All grown-up and very classy, Chanel Iman was a charm in a black and white gown of the exquisite and exlusive designer Tom Ford.
The young runway sensation, Miss Karlie Kloss, looked fresh and sharp in a Jason Wu black and pink lacy design. As good friends, Karlie and Wu smiled at the photographers.
Candice Swanepoel, in a costume made royal blue gown by Rag & Bone, Arizona Muse, in a flowery Erdem dress, Joan Smalls, in a sexy Balmain mini dress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, in Burberry, and Jessica Stam, in Dior, have also joined a lot of other fellow models for that night of vanities.
