Coco Rocha set to channel Liz Taylor at the Met Gala!
Coco Rocha is the star of one of this year’s craziest rumours. Gossip talks related to the upcoming Met Gala, one of the most glamorous events for the fashion people, say the Canadian model is wearing a vintage Givenchy piece she’s recently accquired.
The possibility of Coco showing up dressed in vintage couture (like Natalie Portman did to this year’s Oscars in vintage Dior) would be no big deal if parallel rumours weren’t saying the model was not allowed to wear Prada. As it seems, the Italian designer has formaly listed which celebrities are authorized to embody her designs to the gala. Despite the two of them being neutral towards eachother – neither (red carpet) friends nor foes -, Rocha has found her own way to outshine Miuccia’s elite.
According to USA Today, Coco Rocha is wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic wine stained Givenchy jumpsuit tonight. In such a bright yellow and neon pink, elegant and trendy, outfit, the beautiful model is about to catch everyone’s eye in the best possible way, regardless the jumpsuit is dirty! As she told the reporters: “After I had it cleaned I took it to show the editors at Vogue and we could still see the stain. We all agreed that since it was Liz Taylor’s wine stain, it’s OK to wear as is”.
That being said, she’s surely going to dazzle at the most extravagant night gowns’ gathering of the year.
